Rick Strauss
As a composer, guitarist, and producer, Rick Strauss has released two, internationally acclaimed discs. The first, "Jump Start" reached number 20 on Billboards Contemporary Jazz chart. Body Lines, his second album, reached the top 15 in all major radio trade reports. Strauss played and composed for Spyro Gyras Morning Dance album, which achieved Platinum status.
As a well-respected and innovative guitarist, Strauss has performed in Europe, Canada and across the U.S. with, aside from pops concerts with the Buffalo and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestras, a whos who of contemporary music. His compositions include music for advertising, television, theatre, and concerts.

Roy Patterson
Roy Patterson has been active on the Canadian jazz scene since his
arrival in Toronto in 1979 and spent 14 years on the jazz faculty at
the University of Toronto. He currently teaches part time at York
University as a course director. He led the first Toronto-based band to
win the Prix de Jazz award at the Festival International de Jazz de
Montreal in 1996 and received the Jazz Report Award for "Guitarist of
the Year" in 2000. International performances include Finland,
Turkey, Italy, the U.S.A. and Taiwan. His compositions are
documented on six CD recordings, numerous C.B.C. radio
broadcasts and a one-hour TV show for Bravo. His most recent CD's
are a live trio recording (2009) with bassist Don Thompson and
drummer Terry Clarke titled "Atlantic Blues" (a nod to his east coast
roots in Nova Scotia and time spent at sea) and a collaboration with
Brazilian singer, Maria Farinha, on a CD called Uwatibbi, to be
released later this year.
