Local guitarist Dave Scott started playing mainstream jazz at an early age after hearing a Wes
Montgomery recording, and thrives in the tradition of the masters such as Montgomery, Joe Pass and
Jim Hall. A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Dave also studied with local guitar legend Jim Kipler.
He has performed with a wide variety of musical ensembles in WNY and Southern Ontario, playing with
the area's finest musicians.
Dave's preferred performance venue is the duo or trio setting, which provides the freedom to explore
intricate harmonic expression while providing the interplay of improvisation.
