George Kane & Wayne Moose Duo

Saturday, August 25th   1:00pm - 2:30pm
The Peace Garden

George Kane and Wayne Moose have enjoyed crafting the art of the duo for the past 12 years. They were first introduced by singer Laurie Bordinaro, performing gigs and celebrating the release of her first CD. From the start, George and Wayne realized that they share a common respect and admiration for the “Great American Songbook.” George, a talented and in-demand guitarist in Western New York and Canada, often performs with many of the local greats and national-level musicians. Wayne is a first-call bassist for many top musicians, due to his solid time, beautiful tone and originally.

Together, they continue the conception and artistry of other notable duets, such as Jim Hall & Red Mitchell and Joe Pass & Niels Pedersen. One of the aspects of the duo that keeps them in demand is the equitable and harmonious collaboration between the guitar and bass, both sharing in melodic and harmonic responsibilities. Both George and Wayne thoroughly enjoy performing together in this ensemble and have received much acclaim in the jazz community for their work together.
