The Carol Calato Scholarship

The Northwest Jazz Festival is pleased to announce the availability of a $1,000.00 Scholarship to be awarded to a deserving High School  graduating senior or current college student that lives in Niagara or Erie Counties.  The Scholarship is to be used for tuition / fees in an accredited College / University by a student who has been accepted into a music program.  The scholarship endowment fund has been made possible by the late Mr. Thomas Burrows in honor of the Chairwoman of the Board, Carol Calato.

Students should submit the information on the application below.  Be sure to upload the necessary documents and files for audition song. 
The audition song may be included as a video or audio format (provide file and/or link to youtube, social media clip, etc.).  A live audition for the selection may be required of the finalists. The winner of the scholarship may have the opportunity to perform at a future festival.

By submitting the information, you agree that all the materials provided are yours and you give the Northwest Jazz Festival / Lewiston Jazz Festival, Inc. (governing board of the festival), the right to use your name/likeness in any forms of media and promotion of the Northwest Jazz Festival and this scholarship without any additional compensation to you.   Application is due by May 31, 2024, end of day.  PLEASE submit this application on a desktop/laptop (not from a phone).
