  • Dr. M is the newest of jazz singers on the WNY scene and has quickly become one of the Buffalo "jazz queens." She has earned five JazzBuffalo Poll nominations in two years of selling out shows. Fan quotes include: "She is tearing up the scene,"  "True artist," "She's a Superstar," and "You've got to see her. She is one of the best!"
  • Dr. M's dynamic performances include distinctive interpretations of jazz classics and creative renditions of unconventional songs. Her elegant attire pays homage to jazz history, jazz music, and jazz vocalists. Known for her themed shows, Dr. M captivates audiences with her mix of powerful sound and emotional intensity.

Dr. M collaborates with top jazz musicians to complete The Dr. M Jazz Combo. Her combo personnel for the 2025 Northwest Jazz Festival include:

  • Greg Millar on Guitar. Mr. Millar's accomplishments include playing alongside jazz icons Bill Easley, Charles Earland, Roswell Rudd, Nasar Abadey, Joe Ford, Paul Gresham, Tony Gloster, and Jerry Livingston. Greg has been a mainstay on the WNY jazz scene for decades.
  • Douglas "Trigger" Gaston on Piano. Mr. Gaston has performed nationally and internationally with reknowned performers including Frank Foster, Clifford Jordan, Delfeayu Marsalis, Gerry Gonzalez, Brook Benton, Mary Wells, Eddie Kendrix, and Redd Foxx. 
  • ​Marc Cousins on Upright Bass. Mr. Cousins has performed with jazz legends Randy Brecker, Emily Remler, Stephane Wrembel and Lewis Nash, and the Buffalo Philharmonic. His groups include the Hot Club of Buffalo, The French ConeXion, and The Cousins Trio.
  • Dave Wasik on drums. Mr. Wasik has toured with greats Mose Allison, Odetta, and Karima Skalli. Aside from his bands The Wazmopolitans and The Soul-Jazz Trio, Mr. Wasik is known for his annual Vince Guaraldi holiday jazz show.
  • Andrew Perruzini on Trumpet & Flugelhorn. Mr. Perruzini, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, has performed under Michael Tilson Thomas and Robert Austin Boudreau. Andrew has played with The Glorious Brass Quintet, the Carol McLaughlin Big Band, the Jazz Trio Payazzo, and My Cousin Tone.'
