Dave Hill has been an active professional guitarist in Los Angeles music since 1985, playing countless recording sessions and gigs. He has played with contemporary jazz great Gregg Karukas, who guested on his 2004 CD “Two Seasons”, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Max Bennett of the LA Express, as well as world tours with legendary British singer Englebert Humperdinck. He has published music instructional books through Hal Leonard and released 2 CD’s of his original contemporary jazz. His 2010 CD, “New World” included the legendary Los Angeles Jazz group , The Yellowjackets. He performed in the southern California area with the “Dave Hill Group” appearing at many of the premier jazz clubs and festivals in Los Angeles including the world famous “Baked Potato”. The Pandemic of 2020 changed the world as we know it and Dave relocated his family to Western New York where his wife’s family lives and he now calls Orchard Park his home. Since relocating to Buffalo from Sunny Southern California, Dave was able to quickly establish himself in the Western New York area music scene. Upon meeting drummer Jim Linsner at a Jam session, he was the connection the led to connecting to the rest of his band: Keyboards/Pat Georger, Bassist / Colin Brydalski, and Saxes /Matt Incontro. These great players gave Dave the inspiration to re-tool his original music project in Buffalo. His accessible Jazz style seems to have found an appreciative audience as his group has been performing at Jazz clubs and festivals since 2022. Currently working on his next music production, he looks forward to releasing a new CD (and stream) of brand new music. Look ahead to 2026 and the West Coast Jazz of Dave Hill
