"For the past decade, one of the most inspiring threads woven into Western New York’s musical fabric has been the Matt’s Music Vocal Performance Team. Founded in 2015 by vocal director Zach Carr, the Vocal Performance Team was created with an ambitious but deeply human goal: to train singers who could do it all, while helping them grow into confident, expressive individuals. Over the past ten years, that vision has come to life in extraordinary ways. What began as a focused performance ensemble has evolved into one of Western New York’s most respected and meaningful vocal programs—developing artists who are as grounded as they are gifted.
Today, MMVPT is led by a wonderful staff that includes Kimberly Potfora, Zach Carr, Cortney Costanzo, Gionna Mariano, and Catherine Moeller. The team performs all across WNY and beyond, demonstrating community, confidence, and voices that shine like no other. MMVPT is grateful to be back at the Northwest Jazz Festival and is excited to share our love of jazz with you all!"
