Vanessa Vacanti is one of the brightest voices on the new American jazz scene. A young singer from Buffalo, New York, she stands out for her overwhelming energy, passion, and a personal style capable of bringing a breath of fresh air to contemporary jazz. Raised in a family of musicians and graduating with a degree in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia, Vanessa possesses great expressiveness and stage presence, characteristics that make each of her performances engaging and rich with emotion.
Acclaimed for her skill at telling stories through music and her ability to reinterpret great jazz standards with fresh and original arrangements, Vacanti draws inspiration from the legends such as Anita O'Day, Sarah Vaughan, and Ella Fitzgerald. Winner of the 2024 "Rising Star Jazz Performer of the Year" award, she regularly performs at major jazz festivals and clubs across the globe.
In Lewiston, Vacanti will be joined by Dave Solazzo and The Bridge; a modern jazz trio that has toured across the U.S. and overseas. Dave Solazzo, Matthew Vacanti, and Bill D'Agostino are award winning jazz musicians and educators whose tunes have been heard from New Mexico, to Quebec, to Italy. Together, this acclaimed group's music spans swing and bebop, with a unique touch that makes each concert unforgettable.
