Jazz Fundraiser- April 14th at Brickyard Brewing Co
Lewiston, NY - Enjoy an afternoon of jazz on Sunday, April 14th from 1pm - 4pm at the Brickyard Brewing Company to benefit the Northwest Jazz Festival. The fundraiser is hosted by the Board of Directors to help cover the rising costs of the largest outdoor jazz festival held in Western New York on August 23rd and 24th in the historic Village of Lewiston.
The afternoon will feature music by My Cousin Tone’ along with light hors d'oeuvres, basket auction and cash bar with a $35 ticket (discounted tickets available if purchased by a board member). Local businesses have generously donated items for the basket raffle in support of the festival. All proceeds from the fundraiser will help offset the rising costs of producing the annual event. Last year the festival faced many challenges in unexpected increases of insurance and logistics costs. Chairwoman Carol Calato hopes to raise enough funds to continue to offer a high caliber event. “Over the past 22 years this festival has become Western New York’s largest outdoor music festival highlighting jazz music. To me, what is most significant and amazing about the growth of the festival, is that it has remained free to the public”.
In 2024, the jazz festival will proudly present the theme "Celebration of the Great American Songbook," highlighting a lineup of international and regional jazz artists who will breathe new life into timeless songs everyone loves. Music Director Tony Zambito has been curating the music line up since October. “With unique and creative programs that shine a spotlight on the beloved art form known as the Great American Songbook, this year’s festival promises to be truly unforgettable. Stay tuned for the announcement of our exciting lineup. Make plans to attend this year and experience jazz festival programming that will bring music to your ears”!
Tickets can be purchased online at www.lewistonjazz.com or in person at the Upward Niagara Chamber office (895 Center Street, Lewiston, NY) on weekdays from 8am – 4pm. Tickets can also be purchased directly at a nominal discount from board members.
